The killer surrendered during attachment seizure in Sheikhpura: had killed his wife for dowry, was absconding for a year

In a case of dowry murder in Sheikhpura, the accused husband Rahul Yadav surrendered before the police under the pressure of the police who reached the house of the accused, who was absconding for a year, on the orders of the court. In this regard, Shekhopur Sarai police station president cum police sub-inspector Pramod Kumar said that three years ago, Rahul Yadav, son of Bhim Yadav, resident of Premchand Bigha village of local police station area, was married in Sarika village of Hathiawa OP of Sadar block.

Within a few months of the marriage, the married woman was harassed by her in-laws along with her husband. Later, she was murdered by her in-laws together. An FIR for murder was lodged at the local police station in connection with the incident. Others including husband Rahul Yadav were made named accused. He told that in this case the absconding husband was hiding in Nalanda district.

On the orders of the court, when the police reached to confiscate his house. Then the absconding murderer surrendered in the police raid. Who was arrested and sent to jail. While raids are being conducted to arrest other absconding accused. However, other accused are still absconding.
