Vivek Agnihotri Refuses Filmfare Awards 2023: Vivek Agnihotri, director of ‘The Kashmir Files’, has boycotted the Filmfare Awards just a few hours ago. He has made a long tweet regarding this, due to which he once again came into the limelight.
Vivek Agnihotri boycotted the Filmfare Awards
The Filmfare Awards are going to be announced on the night of 27th April. All Bollywood celebs are eagerly waiting for this moment. Meanwhile, Vivek Agnihotri has boycotted the film The Kashmiri Files even after getting 7 nominations. Let us know what is the reason behind this.
refused to participate
Vivek Agnihotri recently informed that he will not be a part of this Filmfare Award. He wrote a long post explaining the reason behind this and also targeted the film industry. Vivek Agnihotri wrote, “I came to know from the media that The Kashmir Files has been nominated in 7 categories for the 68th Filmfare Awards. But I humbly refuse to be a part of these unethical and anti-cinema awards”.
Told this reason by tweeting
Vivek Agnihotri further wrote, “This is because according to Filmfare, no one has a face except the stars, no one matters. That’s why master directors like Sanjay Bhansali or Sooraj Barjatya have no face in the sycophantic and immoral world of Filmfare.” Sanjay Bhansali looks like Alia Bhatt, Sooraj looks like Mr. Bachchan and Anees Bazmee looks like Kartik Aaryan. Not that the dignity of a filmmaker comes from Filmfare awards but this humiliating system must end.”
Told Bollywood corrupt
Vivek Agnihotri further wrote in the post, “As a mark of my protest and dissent against a corrupt, immoral and sycophantic establishment of Bollywood, I have decided not to accept these awards. I oppose any oppressive and corrupt system or awards.” I do and categorically refuse to be a part of it.”
ANNOUNCEMENT:
FILMFARE AWARDSI learned from media that #TheKashmirFiles is nominated in 7 categories for the 68th Filmfare Awards. But I politely refuse to be a part of these unethical and anti-cinema awards. Here’s why:

Congratulations to all the artists
Vivek Agnihotri congratulated everyone in his post and wrote, “I want to congratulate everyone for the awards. My aim is not to hurt anyone. My aim is not just to create ruckus, I am trying to change this. If not in my chest, then in your chest, the fire can start anywhere, but the fire should burn.
