The film ‘The Kerala Story’ has a great start at the box office, earning so many crores on the first day

Digital Desk, Mumbai. Directed by director Sudipto Sen, the film “The Kerala Story” was mired in controversies even before its release. Ever since the release of the teaser, the buzz about the film was intense. The film also faced a lot of criticism in Kerala, where all political parties in the state, including the Congress, demanded the film not to be released. Along with this, there were demonstrations on the streets regarding the film. After going through all these difficulties, the film was released in theaters on 5 May, as the censor board cleared the film for release. At the same time, the box office collection of the first day of the film has come to the fore. The first day opening collection of the film has been impressive.

Earnings on first day

‘The Kerala Story’ has got a good response from the audience on the first day. The opening day figures of ‘The Kerala Story’ are out. As per reports, ‘The Kerala Story’ has collected Rs 7.5 crore at the box office on the first day of its release. Which is considered to be a good start for this film. Although these are estimated figures, there may be some change in them after the official data comes. At the same time, some trade analysts say that the film can make a good collection in the weekend.

This is the reason why the film is in controversy

Why the controversies on the film have been going on since the teaser launch of the film in the month of November 2022. The film’s lead actress Adah Sharma plays the character of Shalini Unnikrishnan. There are so many controversies on this film because the story of this film is based on those girls who wanted to become nurses but due to the nefarious designs of ISIS, they took up terrorism. In the film, Shalini has said that 32000 girls have been converted to ISIS in Kerala and she is also one of them.

10 dialogues removed from the film

Many such controversial dialogues were used in the film, which have been removed from the censor board. For example, in the film The Kerala Story, an interview of the former Chief Minister of Kerala was taken, in which he was saying that in 20 years Kerala would become a Muslim state, because the youth in the state were being seduced to become Muslims. Along with this, the scene has also been removed from the film, in which Gods have been wrongly depicted and the word “Indian” has also been removed from the dialogue “Indian Communists are the biggest hypocrites”. Similarly, the film has been released after removing many other controversial scenes.
