    The country’s new CDS has taught Pakistan a lesson, know how it played an important role in Balakot strike

    CDS Anil Chauhan: Anil Chauhan retired on 31 May after 40 years of service in the Indian Army. Now the Government of India has given a big responsibility. Let us tell you that after the death of Bipin Rawat, the post of CDS became vacant. Now he has been made the new CDS of the country. Prior to taking over the Eastern Army, the General Officer was the Director General of Military Operations in New Delhi.

    Balakot surgical strike was planned

    As Director General of Military Operations, the General Officer was the chief architect of ‘Op Sunrise’, a coordinated operation by Indian and Myanmar armies against insurgent groups operating near the border between the two countries. He was also involved in planning the Balakot Surgical Strike, including the post-management of tensions on the India-Pakistan border. He played an important role in this plan from behind. Due to which the Indian Air Force gave a befitting reply to Pakistan.

    Indian Air Force had shown its strength
    Like Uri, there was a big terrorist attack on the Indian Army in 2019. Around 40 CRPF personnel were martyred on the spot in the terrorist attack in Pulwama. In order to teach a lesson to Pakistan, on the morning of 26 February 2019, fighter jets of the Indian Army entered PoK and carried out several bombings and completely destroyed the terrorist bases in Balakot. Pakistan did not get the slightest idea about this incident, although after the attack, the gents of Pakistan also tried to enter the Indian border, but the Indian Air Force drove away the Pakistani fighter plane.

    Many awarded prizes given
    The service of an ordinary officer to the nation has been honored by the government with Param Vishisht Seva Medal, Uttam Yudh Seva Medal, Ati Vishisht Seva Medal, Sena Medal and Vishisht Seva Medal. After his retirement, Lt Gen Anil Chauhan, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief Eastern Command intends to settle down in Dehradun and devote time to writing on security related matters.
