Ancient idols are kept in Karu Museum

Baba Karu Khirhar Museum located in Rakta Kali Temple in Saharsa, Bihar is in a bad condition, all the idols kept in this museum are getting destroyed. And the district administration has remained careless. Let us tell you that during the government of the then Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav, this museum was inaugurated on 10.2.2004 by the Art Culture Minister Ashok Kumar Singh. After the inauguration, people used to come to see the ancient idols kept in this museum and there was a lot of crowd, but unfortunately the Buddha statue was stolen from this museum in 2005, since then this museum was closed. After about 16 years i.e. on 4 April 2021, this museum was reopened by Alok Ranjan, who became the art culture in the NDA government. In this museum, the people of India and their culture are displayed through dolls.

On the other hand, if Ratan Kumar, the guard engaged in the security of the museum, then two or four idols are kept here. In 2005, the statue of Buddha was stolen from this museum, since then the movement of people has decreased. He also told that earlier many people used to visit this museum. On the other hand, if Anil Kumar is to be believed, this Baba Karu Museum was inaugurated in 2004 by Art Culture Minister Ashok Kumar Singh during the time of former minister Lalu Prasad Yadav. Since then the museum has been neglected. He also said that I demand the government to renovate this museum.
