The by-election of the assembly being held in Gopalganj seat has come under controversy. RJD candidate Mohan Gupta has been accused of hiding the truth. For this reason, a writ has been filed in Patna High Court on Tuesday. Through this reet, there has been a demand to directly cancel the nomination of RJD candidate. It is likely that within a day or two, the High Court can also hear this appeal. The name of the person who filed the writ is Deepu Kumar Singh. Who is a voter of Gopalganj Vidhan Sabha area. Keeping the side of the appellant, Senior Advocate told that on November 3, the by-election of the Legislative Assembly is to be held in Gopalganj. After examining the nomination of RJD candidate Mohan Prasad Gupta alias Mohan Prasad, an appeal has been made to order the Chief Electoral Officer of the state to cancel it. In fact, it has been alleged that their nominations have been wrongly and unfairly accepted by the Returning Officer. The RJD candidate has filed a false affidavit by hiding the true facts.
Wrong information given in Form C-4
Appellant Dipu Ka has alleged that wrong information was given in Form C-4 filled by the RJD candidate. He hid the facts regarding pending criminal cases. False information was also given about this in the local media. The petition states that on September 7, 2022, a criminal case under the Excise Act was registered against M/s Silver Heritage Spirits LLP and its partners, directors and managers for illegal trading of liquor. In which RJD candidate Mohan Prasad was a director in the company at that time. In the registered case, his father’s name was given as Shankar Prasad.
