Earlier also, during the Lok Sabha election campaign, Tejashwi Yadav had targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi on social media regarding nepotism. Tejashwi had released a list of 14 candidates.
1. Jamui- Arun Bharti, son of former MLC Jyoti Paswan and son-in-law of former Union Minister late Ram Vilas Paswan. LJP(R) MP and brother-in-law of the current national president.
2. Aurangabad- Sushil Kumar Singh, son of former MP Ram Naresh Singh.
3. Gaya- Father of former CM Jitan Ram Manjhi, minister and MLC Santosh Suman. Samadhi of MLA mother-in-law Jyoti Devi of the National President of Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular).
4. Nawada- Vivek Thakur, son of former Union Minister and former MP CP Thakur ji.
5. Patna Sahib- Ravi Shankar Prasad, former minister and son of MLA Thakur Prasad.
6. Sasaram- Shivesh Ram, son of former Union minister and former MP Munni Lal.
7. Hajipur- Chirag Paswan, son of former Union Minister late Ram Vilas Paswan.
8. Samastipur- Shambhavi Chaudhary, daughter of minister and MLC Ashok Chaudhary. Granddaughter of former minister late Mahavir Chaudhary.
9. Shivhar- Lovely Anand, wife of former MP. Mother of current MLA.
10. Valmikinagar- Sunil Kumar, son of former minister Vaidyanath Mahato.
11. West Champaran- Sanjay Jaiswal, son of former MP Madan Jaiswal.
12. Madhubani- Ashok Yadav, son of former Union minister Hukumdev Yadav.
13. Vaishali- Veena Devi, wife of JDU MLC Dinesh Singh.
