Teenager dies after drowning in Dev Suryakund pond in Aurangabad: jumped from a pole in the middle of the pond but did not come out

A 14-year-old student died of drowning while taking a bath in the Dev Suryakund pond in Aurangabad. The deceased 14-year-old student has been identified as Bittu Kumar, son of Pramod Rikiyasan, a resident of Harikirtan Bigha in Dev police station area.

According to the information received, Bittu had gone with his younger brother Situ to take bath in Suryakund pond. While taking a bath, he reached the middle of the pond by grabbing the rope attached to the pond and jumped on the pillar situated there to take a bath. But when he did not come out for a long time, his brother Situ, standing by the side of the pool, started crying loudly. During this, the people around gathered and informed the Dev police station.

As soon as the information was received, SHO Manoj Kumar Pandey reached the Suryakund pond with team force and tried to remove it with the help of local people. But success could not be achieved. A professional diver based at Dehri on Sone has been informed about it. After the arrival of the diver, the drowned student was rescued by searching the body. After the incident, the family is in a bad condition, while there is mourning in the village.

After completing the paperwork, the police took the body in their possession and sent it to Aurangabad Sadar Hospital for post-mortem, from where the body was handed over to the relatives after post-mortem.
