Vaibhav Kumar, a teacher who shot himself in a family dispute in Buxar’s Barka Nuaon, died during treatment in Varanasi. He was undergoing treatment for the last five days, but despite the best efforts of the doctors, he could not be saved. The incident is of May 3.
According to family sources, the teacher was hit by two bullets in the head. One bullet narrowly missed while the other bullet got stuck in the head. Doctors were trying to get him out, but the teacher died during the operation itself. The relatives have left for Buxar with the dead body from Varanasi.
The deceased was a resident of Barka Nuaon village under Mufassil police station area. Was working as a PT teacher in Kaithna High School of Itadhi block of the district. If the rural sources are to be believed, the young man was addicted to drugs and used to go berserk over trivial matters. Two wives had left him. After his third marriage, he was living with his new wife, Rambha Devi. On May 3 also, such a step has been taken regarding a minor argument with the mother.
However, the family members are refraining from speaking anything in this matter. The wife has told the police that she was working in the kitchen. When she came out after hearing the sound of gunshot, the teacher was lying on the ground. The relatives took him to the hospital.
A day after the incident, two FIRs were registered by the police into attempted suicide by the teacher who shot himself. The first case was registered on the statement of wife Rambha Devi, in which she had told that she was cooking in the kitchen when a gunshot was heard from outside. When she came out, the husband was lying on the ground.
On the other hand, the police have done the second case under the Arms Act because the weapon with which the firing took place is illegal. In the investigation of the case by the police, an illegal country made pistol along with a used cartridge was recovered from the house of the teacher.
Confirming this, Itadhi Gumti outpost in-charge of Mufassil police station Sanjit Kumar said that the teacher died during treatment at Varanasi Trauma Center. Now further work will be done in this matter on the directions of SP Manish Kumar.
