Tamil Nadu: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin on Friday launched ‘anywhere, anytime’ e-service for online transfer of leases through the Revenue Department, in an effort to bring government services/facilities to the doorsteps of the public. Land owners can apply for transfer of lease at Common Service Center and Registrar’s Office and transfer order will be issued after completion of online process on their applications. Under this new facility people can apply for transfer of lease from anywhere and anytime with the help of government website.

‘Revenue department is the backbone of state administration’

“The revenue department is the backbone of the state administration and plays an important role in meeting the day-to-day needs of the people and implementing various socio-economic schemes of the government,” the release issued by the government said. All the necessary documents like Patta, Chitta, Adangal, Caste Certificate, Residence Certificate, Income Certificate etc. are issued to the students.

No need to go to district office

The government is improving the infrastructure of the revenue department and various facilities are being developed in the department to implement citizen-centric services. Now after the introduction of this new service, people will not need to go to the district office or CSC for the transfer of lease. They can deposit the required fee online and get approval.

Once the order is issued, its copy can be downloaded. “With this step, the public will now be freed from the hustle and bustle of various departments and middlemen,” the release said.
