New Delhi: In the T20 World Cup 2022 being played in Australia, the Indian team is now just one step away from the semi-finals. On 2 November, India defeated Bangladesh (India vs Bangladesh) by 5 runs. Rain disturbed this match. Because of this the match was stopped for a while. But, the match resumed after rain. After which India made a spectacular comeback, defeating Bangladesh by 5 runs by the Duckworth-Lewis rule.
After this victory of India, former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi went to a halt. Not only this, he accused the ICC and said that the apex body of cricket wants India to play the semi-finals at any cost.

Afridi said that, despite India winning, the match was restarted despite the ground being wet. Now BCCI President Roger Binny has given a big statement on these allegations of Shahid Afridi. He added that “every team is treated equally” by the ICC.
BCCI President Roger Binny said, “Not right. I don’t think ICC takes our side. Everyone is treated equally. There’s no way you can say that. What sets us apart from other teams? India is a big powerhouse in cricket but we are all treated equally.
Earlier Shahid Afridi said, “You saw how wet the ground was. But the ICC is inclined towards India. They want to ensure that India reach the semi-finals at any cost. The umpire was also the one who officiated in the India vs Pakistan match and will get the best umpire award.”
