Swachh Bharat Diwas Celebrations: Bihar gets second prize for cleanliness service, Karnataka gets first place

Union Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat felicitating the team of Bihar for its cleanliness service at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi.

On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, the Union Minister for Jal Shakti, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat honored Bihar with the second prize for the excellent operation of the Swachhta Hi Seva campaign at the Swachh Bharat Diwas function organized at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.

Bihar’s performance in the country was second after Karnataka. President Draupadi Murmu was the chief guest of the function. Those who received the award from Bihar included Chief Executive Officer of Jeevika and Mission Director of Lohia Swachh Bihar Abhiyan, Rahul Kumar, DDC Patna Tanay Sultania, DDC Muzaffarpur Ashutosh Dwivedi, DDC Darbhanga Amrish Bains, Suman Lal Karan, Prabhat Ranjan etc. The implementation of ‘Clean Gaon Samridhi Gaon’ is being done in the state under 7 NISHCHA-2.
