Suspicious death of married woman in Katihar: Maternal relatives said – in-laws killed and hanged

Relatives reached for post-mortem of the dead body.

In Katihar, a married woman died under suspicious circumstances in her in-laws’ house. The incident is of Kali Ganj village of Hasanganj police station area. On getting information about the incident, the maternal relatives from Purnia reached Kaliganj village. Where the family members have accused the in-laws of murder. At the same time, after doing Panchnama of the dead body, the police got involved in the investigation of the incident and sent it to Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.

The mother of the deceased Soni Devi told that in November 2021, she had married her daughter with pomp with Manish Kumar, a resident of Kaliganj village. Presently his son-in-law is still working outside. He told that 6 months ago his son-in-law had taken the daughter home without telling her anything. Since then he was not even allowed to talk.

Relatives weeping after the incident.

At 5 o’clock on Saturday, he received a phone call from the people living next to the daughter’s in-laws that his daughter had died. When he reached there, his daughter’s body was lying. The in-laws said that he committed suicide by hanging. Whereas the place where his daughter hanged herself. There the height is very less. No one can die by hanging at that place. Here, after recording the statement of the relatives, the police is engaged in research and sending the body for post-mortem.

SHO Ramchandra Mandal reached the spot as soon as the police got information about the incident from the relatives of the deceased. After doing Panchnama, the body has been sent to Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. At the same time, the police is investigating the matter by recording the statement of the family members.
