Spirit worth Rs 50 lakh has been seized in Motihari. The consignment of spirit was going to Chhapra by filling in the container. Motihari SP got secret information that a big consignment of spirit is going to arrive in a container. Which is about to go to Chhapra, but after the liquor scandal in Chhapra, it is trying to dump it in Areraj area. As soon as the information was received, the SP formed a team under the leadership of Areraj SDPO Ranjan Kumar and started raids for spirit recovery.

Meanwhile, a Nagaland numbered container is standing near Areraj Bettiah NH-74 Matiaria Petrol Pump and its driver is asking about the address here and there at 12 o’clock in the night. SDPO and Paharpur Police Station President Abhinav Dubey reached the said place as soon as the information was received. The driver of the container fled as soon as he saw the police coming. While the container was searched after taking the constable into police custody, 7050 liters of spirit was filled in a sixth big dram inside it.

The seized spirit was brought to the police station and the product superintendent was informed. Product Superintendent Amritesh Kumar, who reached the spot, said that the cost of the spirit, including the container, is around Rs 50 lakh.
