The problem of jam at Mehsaul Railway Gumti of Sitamarhi has become a routine. Due to non-construction of over bridge, everyone has to bear the brunt of this. During the festival, a lot of exercise has been started by the district administration to get rid of traffic jams. Despite this, people are stuck in the jam for hours. Gumti gets closed while the train is passing. Being such a busy road, hundreds of vehicles queue up on both sides in 10 minutes. There is no traffic police system here.

Taking illegitimate advantage of this, people gather from all sides. Due to which the traffic system gets disturbed. The situation is that there is a jam for about 2 to 3 hours. In the meantime, if another train passes, then the problems increase even more.

Overbridge construction could not be done even after 14 years

Please tell that the overbridge was to be constructed here. But after 14 years this overbridge could not be constructed. 18 months of work took 14 years. The jam was lifted after about two and a half hours after the train passed on Tuesday. In the scorching sun, people were drenched with sweat. Let us inform that through this road, more than half a dozen block headquarters including Bathnaha, Bajpatti, Sursand, Sonbarsa, Parihar, Pupri, Choraut, Bhitthmod, two neighboring districts, and hundreds of villages, including two neighboring districts, get daily traffic.

In the construction of ROB, this work has to be done jointly by the Road Department of the Government of Bihar and the Railways of the Government of India. Both have to pay half of the cost. Regarding this, MP Sunil Kumar Pintu said that by issuing a letter, on February 4, the Bihar government has agreed to give half its share of 43 crores.

A letter has been sent by the General Manager of Hajipur Railway to the Railway Board of the Government of India on 29 January for the approval of Rs 43 crore. But today 9 months have passed. But till now no effort has been started for its construction. Tell that the local MPs and MLAs have been continuously corresponding. There has also been a fast unto death by the local people.
