    Shraddha Walker case update: In the Shraddha Walker murder case, the Delhi court will pronounce its verdict against accused Aftab Poonawalla on Saturday (April 29). Accused Aftab Poonawalla had strangled his live-in partner Shraddha Walker to death on May 18, 2022 in Chhatarpur area of ​​Delhi and then threw her dead body into several pieces in Mehrauli area.

    Delhi Police is also going to file its reply before the court today on an application by Shraddha Walker’s father. Shraddha Walker’s father had requested that her mortal remains be handed over to the family for the last rites as per tradition and culture.

    Additional Sessions Judge Manisha Khurana Kakkar had on April 15 reserved the order after hearing the arguments of the prosecution lawyers as well as the accused on framing of charges. The probe agency had on April 15 sought time to file its reply on the application of Walker’s father.

    Aftab Poonawalla has been booked by the Delhi Police under sections 302 (murder) and 201 (causing evidence of offence) of the IPC. Accused Aftab Poonawala is currently lodged in Delhi’s Tihar Jail. Delhi Police has filed a 6,629-page charge sheet in the case on 24 January 2023.
