    Shimla : Dr. K. Sivan, former Chairman of ISRO, reached Una, today will give degrees and medals to triple IT trainees

    Former ISRO Chairman Dr. K. Sivan has reached Una. He will attend the fifth convocation of the Indian Institute of Information Technology (Triple IT) at Saloh, Una on Saturday as the chief guest. He will felicitate 130 passout trainees with degrees and nine medal winners with medals. The convocation was presided over by the director of the institute, Prof. s. Selvakumar will do.

    52 passout trainees of BTech Computer Science Engineering (CSE) of 2018-22 batch will get degrees and three will get medals. The Chief Guest will confer degrees on 46 passout trainees of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE). While three will be given medals. 32 trainees of Information Technology (IT) will be awarded degrees and three will be awarded medals.

    In BTech CSE, Shweta Gurmani will be awarded Gold, Adhiraj Bisht will be awarded Silver, Abdul Bronze will be awarded. Aryan Gupta of B.Tech ECE will be awarded Gold, Hrithik Sharma will be awarded Silver and Bhavya Arora will be awarded Bronze. The chief guest will felicitate Siddhant Gandhi of B.Tech IT with gold, Pranjal Joshi with silver and Roshan Ranjan Prasad with bronze.

    For the first time, the convocation will be held in the permanent campus

    The Triple IT Complex at Saloh, Una was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra on Thursday from Indira Stadium in Una. For the first time, a physical convocation is being held in this campus.

    Dr. K. Know about Sivan

    Dr. K. Sivan is an Indian space scientist. He has been the Secretary (Space) and the Chairman of the Indian Space Research Organization and Space Commission till 14 January 2022. Sivan was appointed the head of ISRO in January 2018. Under his chairmanship, ISRO launched Chandrayaan-2, the second mission to the Moon, on 22 July 2019. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also encouraged him. He reached Una on Friday evening between Y plus security.
