The thief escaped after cutting a gold chain from the neck of a woman during the worship at Durga temple located in Prasad Bigha, Nawada. After which the victim woman applied for justice in the city police station. It is being told that Saroj Devi Prasad, wife of Rajendra Prasad, a resident of Post-mortem Road, had gone to worship at Bigha Durga temple on Monday morning, when an unknown thief cut the gold chain from the woman’s neck. By the time the woman raised an alarm, the thief had run away. The weight of the chain was 36 grams, the cost of which is being told as one lakh 30 thousand rupees. At the same time, when there was a ruckus of theft in the temple, other women who came to worship became alert and kept their jewelry open.
Thieves are taking advantage of the crowd
The victim woman told that there was a lot of crowd in the temple. While doing puja, a lady was hovering behind me for a long time.
