Digital Desk, Mumbai. Actor Goofy Paintal, who played the role of Shakuni in BR Chopra’s popular TV show Mahabharata, has passed away. He was 78 years old. Please tell that during the preparation of a play, his health deteriorated after which he was admitted to a hospital in Mumbai. Paintal’s co-star Surendra Pal has confirmed his death. According to the information, his last rites will be performed today at 4 pm.
Became popular by playing the character of Shakuni
Born on 4 October 1944 in Tarn Taran, Punjab, Goofy started his acting career in 1975 with the film Rafoo Chakkar. After this he was a part of many films. But he got real recognition from the famous show Mahabharata which came on Doordarshan in 1988. By playing the character of Shakuni Mama in this show, he became popular in every household of the country. He was last seen in Star Bharat’s show Jai Kanhaiya Lal Ki.
Goofy has been an all-rounder, apart from acting, he has also handled the work of direction. Goofy has directed Chaitanyamahaprabhu film in his directorial debut.
