ICC T20 World Cup, 2022 is starting from 16th of this month. The most exciting and tremendous high voltage match of this tournament will be on 23 October, when India and Pakistan, the team of two enemy countries, will have their first match of this world. The latest news is that Pakistan’s dangerous fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi has almost recovered from the injury and is preparing to wreak havoc against India.
It is reported that Shaheen Shah Afridi will join the squad for the ICC T20 World Cup in Australia ahead of Pakistan’s warm-up matches. After going through his rehabilitation program under the supervision of the PCB’s Medical Advisory Committee, he will now reach Australia. Shaheen will take the field in the practice matches against England and Afghanistan to be held on October 17 and 19.
Shaheen Shah Afridi said in a recent statement, “I am very excited to join the national team for the T20 World Cup 20 and play my part in the tournament. It has been a tough time for me to be away from cricket and the team I love. During this time I could not participate in many exciting matches.
Shaheen has been sweating profusely for 10 days
Shaheen Shah Afridi further said, “I have been bowling 6 to 8 overs without any problem with full run-up and speed for the last 10 days. Apart from this, I have also enjoyed batting along with bowling in the nets. Nothing can beat the excitement of World Cup matches. I am looking forward to playing in that.”
It is worth noting that whether Shaheen Shah Afridi will enter the main tournament of the World Cup or not, it will be decided by the team management of Pakistan after two practice matches of Pakistan. Remind you that Shaheen was out of the field due to an injury to the right knee ligament. And, he went to London for its treatment. For this reason, he could not play the Asia Cup-2022.
