    Scrutiny of nomination form for PU students union election ends: nomination of 3 students rejected, now 41 candidates for central panel

    Patna University Students Union election is to be held on 19th November. At the same time, yesterday was the last day to fill the nomination form. After the completion of the nomination process of the election, today all the nomination forms have been scrutinized. Some rules were implemented for filling the nomination form, the nomination of the students who did not follow those rules has been rejected. After which the names of all the final candidates have been announced. At the same time, the date of nomination was fixed from November 7 to November 10.

    2. There should not be any academic arrears on the candidate.

    3. 75% attendance in classes is mandatory.

    4. The candidate should be within the prescribed age limit.

    5. The candidate should not have failed in any subject.

    6. The candidates who do not follow any kind of allegations or rules can not contest the election.

    There will be a meeting of the Grievance Redressal Cell till 3:30 pm on 12th November. If the candidates are dissatisfied with the cell, the candidates can lodge an objection in the Vice-Chancellor’s office only till 6 pm on November 12. The final list of candidates will be released on November 14 between 6 pm and 7 pm. Nominations can be withdrawn till 3:30 pm on November 14. Voting will be held on November 19 from 8 to 2 pm. Counting of votes will begin immediately after voting at 4 pm.

    Election will be held for 32 posts
    In the student union elections, elections will be held for the posts of President, Vice President, Secretary, General Secretary and Treasurer for the Central Panel. At the same time, a college councilor or faculty councilor will also be elected for every 1000 students. This time elections will be held on 32 seats including college councilor and faculty.
