To provide a personalized experience to the customers, State Bank of India (SBI) announced the launch of its next generation Contact Center Service. According to SBI’s press release, the bank will now offer more than 30 financial options through its Contact Center service which will provide home banking service to the customers. These services will be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and in 12 languages.

Presently the contact center serves 12 languages ​​which include Hindi, English, Telugu, Bengali, Tamil, Kannada, Marathi, Malayalam, Odia, Gujarati, Assamese and Punjabi. To streamline the process further, the Bank has developed an easy to remember 4-digit toll-free number (1800-1234 or 1800-2100) for Contact Center Service.

According to the press release issued by SBI, ‘Benefit of a range of services related to customer accounts, ATM cards and check books, emergency services (ATM cards or digital channel blocking), access and support of digital products, product information etc. Can be picked up through Center Service. The Bank has provided revised, simplified scripts and soft skill training capabilities to all the customer support representatives to effectively resolve most of the banking queries on call. In future, the bank aims to embed advanced AI/ML based technologies, including conversational IVRs and voice bots.
