Road accident in Purnia, one injured
In Purnia on Friday evening, a woman riding a bike was badly injured when an uncontrolled truck hit a bike rider who was going back home after getting treatment from Purnia. The incident is of Gulab Bagh Damka Chowk under Sadar police station area. There was a stir in the area after the incident. After the incident, the local people got angry and blocked NH 31 for about 1 hour. As soon as the information was received, the police reached and pacified the people by convincing them.
The local people took the injured to the Medical College Hospital in an ambulance. Where the condition was very serious, after first aid, he was referred to the Higher Center. The condition of the woman is said to be very serious. The injured woman is Nikhad Wegam, wife of Mohammad Zahid, a resident of Khapra village under Baisi police station area. It is being told that one leg of the woman is completely fractured.
It is being told that Nikhad Vegam Purnia had gone for treatment. She was going back home by bike with husband Zahid after getting treatment from the doctor. As soon as she reached Damka Chowk, a speeding truck hit her from behind and she got injured. Whereas Nikhad’s husband narrowly escaped. The local people caught both the truck and the driver and handed them over to the police. Local people told that people become victims of road accidents due to driving heavy vehicles at high speed from Gulab Bagh Zero Mile to Barsani. Many people have also died.
