A young man died on the spot in a face-to-face collision between a pickup and a bike late Thursday evening on NH 227 near Kasera Chowk under Harlakhi police station area of Madhubani district, while another youth riding a bike was badly injured in the incident.
It goes on to say that the collision was so strong that the young man’s body got mutilated. A crowd of people gathered at the spot, after which the information about this incident was given to Harlakhi police station, as soon as the police team reached the spot, they took the body of the deceased in their custody.
Along with this, another youth who got injured in this incident was sent to CHC Umgaon for treatment with the help of local people, where the doctor after doing first aid referred him to Madhubani Sadar Hospital for better treatment. The pickup driver absconded, according to the information received, the deceased was going towards the house with both the people riding on the bike. The high-speed pickup was coming from the opposite side of Umgaon, where a fierce collision took place between the two at Kasera Chowk.
On the other hand, took the pickup in possession and brought it to the police station and got involved in the process of sending the dead body to postmortem. However, the relatives of the deceased could not reach the spot, the police was engaged in the investigation of the incident. The identity of the deceased is being told as 30-year-old Manoj Kamat, a resident of Tisiyahi village under Benipatti police station area. The injured has been identified as Binde Saday of the same village.
In this regard, Police Station President Anoj Kumar said that the incident is being investigated. The absconding pickup driver is being searched.
