Road accident in Jamui, one injured.
Near Ratanpur Chowk on Jamui-Giddhaur main road NH 333 on Friday morning, a speeding truck went uncontrollably and entered a roadside grocery shop. Due to which goods worth lakhs of rupees kept in the shop were damaged. While a laborer going to work in this accident was seriously injured. After the incident, the truck driver fled from the spot leaving the vehicle. The injured was brought to the Sadar Hospital for treatment with the help of local people where his condition remains critical. The injured has been identified as Prakash Sharma, son of Ramchandra Sharma, a resident of Genadih village of Gidhaur block.
It is said that Prakash earns his living by working as a laborer. Like every day, on Friday morning he was going to Giddaur for labor. As soon as he got down from the bus near Ratanpur Chowk, a speeding truck coming from behind hit him and the vehicle entered the grocery shop in which he was seriously injured. Fortunately, the shopkeeper narrowly survived the accident. While two other adjacent shops also suffered damages. The driver fled from the spot after the incident.
Here, after the information about the incident, the police of Giddhaur police station reached the spot and took the truck in their possession and is investigating the whole matter. Victim shopkeeper Anil Singh told that this is not a new incident, every day a truck laden with sand moves at high speed.
