Dehradun: Cricketer Rishabh Pant has been shifted from the ICU of Max Hospital to a private ward after his condition improved. He was shifted to a private ward on Sunday evening after his condition improved, but the pain in his leg continued, sources said.
He said that there is no plan for MRI as of now. Pant had a narrow escape when his luxury car caught fire after hitting a road divider on the Delhi-Dehradun highway in the early hours of Friday. He was going to Roorkee to ‘surprise’ his mother.

After first aid at a local hospital, he is undergoing treatment at Max Dehradun. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) director Shyam Sharma, Bollywood actors Anil Kapoor and Anupam Kher visited Pant and his family members at the hospital.
Pant has so far scored 2,271 runs in 33 Tests including five centuries and 11 half-centuries. He has also represented the country in 30 ODIs and 66 T20s. (agency)
