Bettiah rape accused sentenced to 20 years
Completing the hearing of a case of raping a minor in Bettiah, Special Judge of Paxo Act Javed Alam on Friday found the named accused Bittu Kumar Sah (20) guilty of the case and sentenced him to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment. Along with this, a fine of 20 thousand rupees has also been imposed. The judge has ordered additional imprisonment of three months for not depositing the fine amount.
The convicted accused is Bittu Kumar Sah (20), a resident of Shivganj Mohalla ward number 8 of Shikarpur police station area of the district. Giving information, Special Public Prosecutor of Paxo Act Jaishankar Tiwari said that the incident is of the year 2021. The accused had raped the minor several times on the pretext of marrying her. And had also married the minor victim in the Ramjanaki temple located at Narkatiaganj Pokhar Chowki. And after that had a relationship with her several times.
After which the child of the accused started growing in the stomach of the minor victim. After which the accused refused to keep the victim with him. After which the victim lodged an FIR against the accused in Shikarpur police station. After hearing both the sides, the judge gave this verdict.
Order to give compensation of three lakh rupees to the victim
The judge has also ordered a compensation of three lakh rupees to the minor victim under the Bihar Compensation Scheme. Special Public Prosecutor Jaishankar Tiwari has told. He also told that the speedy trial of this case has also been done by the court.
