The party high command has called a meeting in Delhi regarding the controversy over Gehlot Pilot in Rajasthan. Deputy CM Sachin Pilot is demanding party president in Rajasthan and tickets to supporters in 75 seats.
Rajasthan News: In Rajasthan, there is a tussle between Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and former Deputy CM Sachin Pilot over the Chief Minister’s chair. Sachin Pilot has given an ultimatum to the Congress high command. Meanwhile, the Congress high command has called a meeting in Delhi regarding the Gehlot Pilot controversy. In this meeting, party president Mallikarjun Kharge will discuss with Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and former deputy CM Sachin Pilot. The former deputy CM is agitating in the state regarding the corruption of the youth and the previous government. If party sources are to be believed, Sachin Pilot is demanding Congress state president in Rajasthan and ticket for 75 seats. Actually Sachin Pilot wants the party to make him the party president in Rajasthan and tickets for 75 seats in the assembly elections should be given to his supporters. In such a situation, to what extent will the party high command accept the condition of the pilot. Its decision will be taken after this meeting.
Pilot did hunger strike and padayatra
Former Deputy CM Sachin Pilot has also done a one-day fast in Jaipur demanding investigation of corruption in the youth of the state and the previous Vasundhara government. Recently, Pilot had also done a public struggle march from Ajmer to Jaipur for these demands. Apart from this, he had also demanded compensation for the damage caused by the storm in the state. If political experts are to be believed, Pilot is fighting for his supremacy in the party. They are agitating for their demands in the party. He further states that Pilot’s aim is to become the state president. They want their supremacy within the party.
Gehlot pilot dispute continues in the state for a long time
There is a long dispute between Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and Sachin Pilot regarding the post of Chief Minister in Rajasthan. In the year 2020, Sachin Pilot tried to topple the Gehlot government by rebelling along with his supported MLAs. On September 25 last year, when Congress observers Randeep Surjewala and Mallikarjun Kharge called a meeting of the Legislature Party, the pro-Gehlot MLAs boycotted the Legislature Party meeting by holding a parallel meeting. Assembly elections are to be held in Rajasthan by the end of this year. In such a situation, it is a big challenge to bring Gehlot Pilot on a platform in front of the Congress high command and enter the election fray.
