After the Chhapra spurious liquor case, the excise department has intensified its activities. On the instructions of the Product Superintendent, the team of the department raided various places in the district and arrested a total of 51 people, including liquor traders and alcoholics. Product Superintendent Nityanand Prasad said that the team of Product Department is conducting a raid campaign against liquor traders and alcoholics. In this campaign, apart from eight liquor traders including six women, 43 alcoholics have been arrested. During this, the team raided Hulasganj, Ghosi, Parasbigha and other places besides the urban area and arrested the alcoholics. The Product Superintendent said that he had received secret information that some people were selling liquor at different places.
Country liquor has also been recovered from the liquor trader. On the basis of information, businessmen and alcoholics have been arrested by raiding. The excise department team has arrested 51 people from different places in the raid. Further action is being taken against these people by registering a case under the Liquor Act. The Excise Department is continuously conducting raids against the liquor traders. Product Superintendent says that the Liquor Act law will be implemented in the district under any circumstances. Legal action will be taken against those who do liquor business and drink liquor. At present, there has been a stir among the liquor traders and alcoholics due to the arrest in bulk.
