Regarding the India vs Pakistan match, Ramiz Raja had said, ‘Mental match is more than skill and talent. So if you are strong by nature and mentally focused and not ready to accept everything, then even a small team can beat the big team. Pakistan has always been the underdog, whenever we have faced India, but of late they have started giving us respect because they think that Pakistan can never beat us. So I say give credit to Pakistan because we beat a billion dollar team cricket industry. I myself have played the World Cup, we could not beat India. Credit should be given to this team because they are prepared with limited resources as compared to India.
Now R Ashwin has given a befitting reply to this statement of Rameez Raja. Ashwin said, “Having respect for the opposition is not something that comes with victory and defeat. We definitely respect that Pakistani team. But look, this is a game of cricket. This rivalry is huge and means a lot to the people of both the countries. But at the end of the day as a cricketer and as a person playing this game you understand that winning and losing is part of the game. Especially in the T20 format, the difference is close to a lot.
