    Protest against the film continues for the second day, case filed against former minister Awhad for misbehaving with the audience

    Protests continued for the second day against the Marathi historical film “Har Har Mahadev”. In fact, since the allegations of tampering with facts on the film, there has been continuous opposition to it. As part of the ongoing protests against the film, protesters disrupted the screening at a multiplex in Nashik city. At the same time, now the police has registered a case in this matter.

    Thane Police has registered a case against senior Nationalist Congress Party leader and former Maharashtra minister Jitendra Awhad and around 100 others for allegedly harassing the audience at the screening of “Har Har Mahadev” at multiplexes on Monday night. According to the complaint lodged against Awadh, he and his supporters thrashed some people when the audience demanded a refund and commented about the disruption. However, no arrest has been made in the case so far and investigation is on.
