New Delhi/Mumbai. Two more youths have now been detained by the Mumbai Police for allegedly misbehaving with Indian cricketer Prithvi Shaw in the course of taking a selfie. So far 3 arrests have been made in the case. But still 5 accused are absconding.
In fact, on the matter today, the Mumbai Police said that two youths named Rudra and Sahil have now been taken into custody by the Mumbai Police. At the same time, a total of 3 arrests have been made in this case, while 5 accused are absconding. The arrested accused will be produced in the court today.
It may be noted that ‘social media influencer’ Sapna Gill, who was arrested on Friday for allegedly misbehaving with Prithvi Shaw, claimed in the court here on Friday that it was actually Shaw who attacked her. She said that Shaw apologized to her and requested her not to lodge a police complaint.
Gill, who was arrested on Thursday, was produced in the court on Friday. The court has sent him to police custody till February 20. The incident took place on Wednesday when Shaw refused to take selfie with Gill outside a luxury hotel in suburban Santacruz.
However, during the custody hearing, Sapna Gill had requested that she be allowed to present her side regarding the incident, which was accepted by the magistrate. Gill had then said that all the allegations leveled against him were false.
