MumbaiWith the arrest of two more people in connection with the attack on cricketer Prithvi Shaw earlier this week, the number of people arrested so far in the case rose to four on Saturday. An officer of Mumbai Police gave this information.
Shaw was allegedly assaulted and his car attacked with a baseball bat after an argument over a selfie at a luxury hotel in the city in the early hours of Wednesday.

On a complaint by Shaw’s friend Ashish Yadav, the Oshiwara police registered a case against eight people under charges of rioting, assault, causing danger to life for extortion, criminal intimidation and other charges in connection with the incident. Meanwhile, Gill’s lawyer Ali Kasif Khan said that the argument and tussle between the two parties has been made into a fake case of extortion. (agency)
