SP Kartikeya Sharma instructed to conduct fear free polling

In the multipurpose room of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, DM Sawan Kumar and SP Kartikeya Sharma also talked to journalists after jointly addressing the magistrates and police officers of the four municipal bodies regarding the voting to be held tomorrow in the municipal elections of Sheikhpura. The SP, performing his duty for fair polling, directed to conduct fair and fear-free elections. All the police officers were also directed to follow the norms of the State Election Commission.

Instructions given for fair polling

The DM directed all concerned magistrates and police officers to conduct fear-free and fair polling. All patrolling, sector, zonal and super zonal magistrates were directed to remain active from the beginning of polling till the end of polling and to compulsorily provide polling information to the control room (District Control Room- 06341-223333) every hour. was instructed.

Instructions were given to immediately inform the preferred officer about any minor or major untoward incident during the polling. So that quick action can be taken in such a case. It was also instructed in the joint address that after the polling is over, deposit the EVMs directly from the polling station at Bajgriha and it was advised to fill all the forms properly. All the voters present at the polling station were instructed to vote till 5.00 pm, the stipulated period of polling.
