Both the GRP constables named in the death of Arun Bhuiya (35) were arrested on Saturday after being pushed from the Mumbai-Howrah mail. After this, he was admitted to Varanasi jail on the orders of the Prevention of Corruption Court. On the other hand, the SP has also suspended both of them. The accused include Krishna Kumar Singh and Alok Kumar Pandey. Alok is a resident of Kanpur while Krishna Kumar is a resident of Rae Bareli. He was caught from Prayagraj itself. Both were posted at Chheoki station for the last eight months.
After his arrest, he was taken to Varanasi and presented in the Anti-Corruption Court. After getting the remand there, he was admitted to the jail. On the other hand, the GRP SP has suspended both and ordered a departmental inquiry. Inspector Rajiv Ranjan Upadhyay said that both the constables have been sent to jail.
The incident happened two days ago
In connection with the incident on October 20, Arjun, the friend of the deceased, has filed a named case. In which it is alleged that despite having tickets, both the constables extorted money. Not only he and his friends but also other passengers present in the bogie were beaten up. Also pushed his friend, in which he died.
