Police seized tractor trolley in Bettiah: sand was being supplied illegally, mafia does illegal mining from the river

Bettiah police raided on the basis of secret information and seized a tractor and trolley in connection with illegal sand mining. The case pertains to the Kartaha river flowing near Sukhlahi village under Mainatad police station area of ​​the district. From where Manatad police station seized a tractor trolley illegally loading sand.

Giving information about the case, Manatand police station chief Rajiv Nandan Sinha said that early morning on Friday, secret information was received that sand mining was being done illegally from Kartaha river flowing west from Sukhlahi village. Acting swiftly, the police raided the said place. During the raid, the police seized a sand-laden tractor trolley. However, on seeing the police team, the sand miners ran away.

The police station chief said that the sand-laden tractor trolley has been seized and brought to the police station. In this regard, a prosecution letter has been sent to the mining department. He told that the police is keeping a close watch on illegal sand mining. Illegal mining will not be spared at any cost, the police seems to be taking action.
