The second meeting of the Syndicate of Tilkamanjhi Bhagalpur University was held on Friday at the Vice Chancellor’s residence. The possibility of ruckus was raised during the Syndicate meeting. Regarding this, it was done at the Vice Chancellor’s residence instead of in the Syndicate building.

During the Syndicate meeting, different student organizations demonstrated outside the Vice Chancellor’s residence regarding their demands. Dozens of student leaders of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, Rashtriya Chhatra Janata Dal and All India Student Association were present in this.

The issue of non-recognition of many colleges was hot in the meeting

The issue of non-recognition of 7 degree colleges and 4 B.Ed colleges remained hot in the Syndicate meeting. In this, the issue of removal of 93 personnel was also raised. Several issues were also discussed including payment of outstanding pension, pending amount of contractual employees.

On the other hand, on the basis of preference of TNB College, the student RJD also opposed the meeting on several demands, including making Professor Archana the in-charge principal, before conducting an inquiry into the entire tenure of the principal. At the same time, during the demonstration, the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad workers and the police clashed for hours. The situation reached to such an extent that there was a scuffle between the police and the students.

DSP had to reach himself

To handle the situation, the DSP had to reach the Vice-Chancellor’s residence and then the matter was pacified. Actually the students were not being allowed to meet the Vice Chancellor. After which the student started trying to go over the gate of the Vice-Chancellor’s residence. There was an argument between the police and the students regarding this. DSP pacified the matter.
