Police jawan’s funeral with state honors: Wife saluted last farewell, Gopalganj lost her life in boat accident

The police administration with full respect reached Dharampur village of Dobhi block of the district on Thursday evening with full respect for the dead body of Rajesh Kumar, who was killed in the line of duty in Gopalganj boat accident. Rajesh was a resident of Dharampur. And was posted in Gopalganj district police. As soon as Rajesh Kumar’s body arrived, the sound of screaming among his family members and relatives intensified. There was silence in the whole village due to the screams of Rajesh’s family members. The villagers were deeply saddened by this incident.

Rajesh along with his team was going on a boat through the Gandak river for the raid on Wednesday. He died due to drowning in the river as the boat capsized on the way. Since then there was chaos in his house. The people of the house were in shock after Rajesh’s death.

As soon as Rajesh’s body arrived, there was a crowd of villagers and people of the surrounding area for the last glimpse. People from the vicinity of Rajesh’s village also reached the funeral of Rajesh Kumar, a constable wrapped in the tricolor. The women of Rajesh’s village also participated in the last yatra and were given a guard of honor by the Bihar Police personnel at Dharampur Ghat on the banks of Niranjana river, a short distance from Dharampur village, with state honors. Rajesh’s wife Manisha Rani paid her last salute to her husband and then the last rites were performed.

During this, a large number of rural women and men including local leaders Bhagat Yadav, Santosh Gupta, Tutu Khan, Wari Panchayat head Anil Ajnabi, sarpanch representative Ramkeshwar Yadav, Ramsevak Thakur, Santosh Thakur, ward member Jitendra Paswan, barber community members attended. Everyone was raising slogans of Rajesh Kumar Amar Rahe.
