    American Pit Bull

American Pit Bull: You must have seen dog videos on social media. How dogs have become a problem for people. Once upon a time in America, many people used to keep this dog. We are talking about pit bulls. Until fifty years ago, the pit bull was America’s favorite dog. Pit bulls were found everywhere. He was popular in advertising. The Dnieper on the RCA Victor label, “Pete the Pup” in the comedy short films “Our Gang” and the flag-wrapped dog on the World War I poster, were all pit bulls.

For this reason the keeping of pit bulls was banned

So, when National Pit Bull Awareness Day is celebrated in the US on 26 October, it is an opportune time to question how these dogs came to be seen as a threat. Starting around the year 1990, the keeping of pit bulls was banned in the US due to widespread restrictions for a variety of reasons. The reasons behind this included some dog attacks, apprehension of insurance companies etc. As a professor of humanities and law, I have studied the legal history of slaves, tramps, criminals, terrorism suspects and others who threaten civil society.

become dangerous because of the bosses
For my books ‘The Law is a White Dog’ and ‘With Dogs at the Age of Life’, I explored the relationship between man and dogs and how rules and regulations treat entire classes of beings equally. protection may be denied. Based on my experience with these dogs I have learned that Pit Bulls are not inherently dangerous. Like other dogs, they can be dangerous in a few different circumstances and because of some owners.

    dogfighting history
Although in my view, there is no defendable argument for condemning not just all pit bulls, but any dog, as some laws do. Pit bulls are very powerful. Its jaw-dropping grip is nearly impossible to match. Its bravery and strength does not allow it to be defeated in any situation, no matter how long the struggle. He loves with the same strength. For decades, the tight grip of pit bulls encouraged the sport of ‘dogfighting’.

    only death in the game
The game often ends with death and the winning animals earn huge sums of money for those who bet on them. However, betting on dogs is not a high-class sport. Dogs are not horses; They cost very little to acquire and maintain. By 1976, dogfighting was outlawed in all 50 US states, although the illegal trade continued.

danger to the community and society
As soon as the breed was banned, legal rulings declared these dogs ‘dangerous to the safety or health of the community’. In 1987, the magazine Sports Illustrated published a picture of a pit bull showing teeth on the cover page with the headline ‘Beware of this dog’. Time magazine also published a related article titled ‘Time Bombs on Legs’.

    illegal in many communities
The pit bull was once recognized by the ‘American Kennel Club’ as an American Staffordshire hunting dog, but any dog classified as a ‘pit bull type’ is now considered illegal in many communities. For example, the Maryland Court of Appeals modified the province’s common law for dog injuries. Any dog containing the Pit Bull gene is ‘inherently dangerous’ as a matter of law.

What are the rules for keeping dogs in India?

Maximum two dogs should be registered in a flat.

The dog owner will be solely responsible for cleaning up the mess made by pet dogs. Apart from this, RWA will be responsible for taking care of stray dogs.

No person shall feed the dogs or spread dirt in front of anyone’s house.

The animal lovers and the RWAs, coordinating with each other, fix the designated place for feeding the stray dogs.

While taking dogs in public places such as parks and elevators, it will be mandatory to apply mud over their mouths, but in the hot season where people are less, they can remove the mud.

The registration and breeding of aggressive dogs like Pitbull, Rottweiler and Dogo Argentinian are banned by the Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation.

Apart from this, those people who have kept such dogs will be given registration on the condition that they have to compulsorily get their dog sterilized (sterilization) within the next 2 months. Those dogs will not be registered after this stipulated time period.

If the mentioned aggressive dog is less than 6 months of age, then the owner of the dog will have to give an undertaking to the corporation that on completion of 6 months of age, the dog will be neutered and the information will be provided to the corporation within 10 days.
