    Perfume Will Be Made From Rose Flowers Offered To Mahakal, The Process Will Be Completed Like This

    National Green Tribunal member Afroz Ahmed held a meeting in the hall of the administrative complex building in the religious city of Ujjain. Collector Kumar Purushottam, Superintendent of Police Sachin Sharma, DFO, ADM Anukul Jain, Municipal Commissioner Roshan Kumar Singh, CEO District Panchayat Ankita Dhakre, Officers of Pollution Control Board, CMHO, Deputy Director Agriculture and officers of other concerned departments were present in the meeting.

    During the review of solid waste management in the meeting, Ahmed asked how much solid waste is generated in the city of Ujjain. It was informed that 350 metric tonnes of solid waste is generated daily. Waste treatment plant is located in Gondia. The processing center located there is completely centralized. Apart from this, a lot of waste also comes out from the vegetable market. Incense sticks are being made from the waste of flowers coming out of the Mahakal temple.

    Making Perfume From Flowers

    Ahmed said that apart from this, perfume should also be made from rose flowers in Ujjain. Its branding can be done on behalf of Mahakaleshwar Temple. It was informed in the meeting that segregation of waste is being done in Ujjain. Its process is different. Ahmed said that bio-degradable waste can be used as a fertilizer by bio-composting it. A large number of devotees come to Ujjain for darshan. Cloth bags should be made to keep their small belongings. The logo of Municipal Corporation or Pollution Control Board should be affixed on it. These bags should be sold at every worship material shop.

     

    Many Important Decisions Were Made

    Ahmed said that meetings should be held with local builders in Ujjain from time to time and they should be instructed to compulsorily reserve some space for plantation in the colony. During the review of Bio Medical Waste Management, Ahmed directed that separate agencies should be appointed for waste management coming out of hospitals. There should be a Bio Medical Waste Management System in every district. Their incinerator should be of double chamber. It was informed in the meeting that vehicles are being operated for garbage collection in gram panchayats as well, which go door-to-door to collect garbage. Instructions were given by Ahmed to get vermi composting done in the village and to use the straw after harvesting to make manure and as energy pellets.
