The dead body of a newly married woman has been found in Motidih village of Agiaon Bazar police station area. The maternal uncle has alleged that the in-laws killed him by hanging him for smart TV. In-laws were demanding TV, cooler etc. since two months of marriage. Had to torture again and again for not giving. The in-laws carried out this incident on Sunday.
After the incident, there has been sensation in the surrounding area. As soon as the information about the incident was received, the local police station reached the spot, took the dead body in its custody and got its post-mortem done at Sadar Hospital. The deceased woman was identified as Neha Kumari (20), wife of Sonu Kumar alias Rahul, resident of Motidih village.
Police say that on the basis of the application of the father of the deceased woman, the accused husband Sonu Kumar alias Rahul, father-in-law Ramesh Sharma and brother-in-law have been taken into custody. All three are being questioned. Further action is going on in the matter.
Gyanchand Sharma, the father of the deceased woman, says that when we reached the information of the daughter’s death, we saw that at some distance from the house, son-in-law Rahul, his father and brother were tying Neha’s dead body to the carriage. It seemed that they were trying to dispose of the dead body.
Neha was 20 years old. He got married only 9 months back.
Married on 16 February
Gyanchand Sharma told that on February 16 this year, Neha was married to Rahul with full Hindu customs. After 2 months of marriage, she was repeatedly told by her in-laws that your father has not given fan, cooler and smart TV. For this, they used to beat and torture him equally.
After which he bought a cooler and gave it to his in-laws. After this his daughter told him on the phone that father, this time these people are asking for LCD (smart) TV. Give that, then he said that there is no money now. Let me earn, after that I will give, you stay for 6 months now. He had also talked to his family members on the phone 4 days ago.
The relatives reached the hospital to get the post-mortem done.
In-laws said – Neha hanged herself
Gyanchand Sharma told that on Sunday, his brother-in-law Ramesh Sharma called and informed that his daughter Neha Kumari had hanged herself. When he asked whether she was alive or dead. After which they told that he is still alive, we are taking him to Piro Government Hospital. When his father reached the government hospital after getting the information, there was no one there. After this he reached his daughter’s in-laws’ Motidih village. Where he saw that the door was locked.
After this the police was informed. After this, we went out with the police in search of those people. On moving some distance from the house, saw that at some distance from the house, her dead body was being tied on a carriage by her husband, father-in-law and brother-in-law. That’s why the police took quick action and took all three into custody. Relatives say that Neha was the youngest of a brother and a sister. Mother Ramavati Devi and brother Sujit Kumar Sharma are in bad condition after the incident.
