In Bihar, the ministers of the Mahagathbandhan government often do or say something that causes the government to suffer. After former Agriculture Minister Sudhakar Singh, now Panchayati Raj Minister Murari Gautam of Congress quota has told the officers and ward councilors to be less educated regarding the reduction in the tap-water scheme.

Murari Gautam clearly said that if the tap-water scheme is failing in Bihar, then only less educated ward members and officers are responsible for it. After this statement, the opposition is taking a jibe at the BJP government, but Murari Gautam is getting the support of a big leader of the ruling JDU.

First know, what has the minister said…
Panchayati Raj Minister Murari Gautam told that there is a shortage in the Nal-Jal scheme in Bihar and in the previous government also this scheme was lacking. Ever since I became the minister of this department, I have been doing the review. Murari Gautam says that maintenance is being given regarding the water scheme. A separate amount is being given. If the work is not being done, then the officials are responsible for it.

At the same time, he said that due to less educated ward members, it is also decreasing. If he implements the maintenance properly, then there will be no shortage in it. But because of the officials and illiterate ward members, the tap-water scheme is failing in many areas.

    What is BJP saying
Now on this matter, former Panchayati State Minister of BJP, Samrat Chaudhary said that it is very unfortunate. We have strengthened Panchayati Raj. We gave full charge of tap and water to the ward members. ₹ 5000 maintenance started being given. We had worried that tap water could reach every house. But the ministers who are today are feeling all this bad. 1 lakh 14 thousand are insulting the public representatives of Panchayati Raj. Party’s state president Sanjay Jaiswal has blamed CM Nitish Kumar for the disturbances in the tap-water scheme.

    JDU’s Kushwaha supported Gautam
JDU Parliamentary Board Chairman Upendra Kushwaha admitted that there is definitely a shortage in the tap-water scheme. The government is definitely spending on it. Water is being available at many places and not even at many places. The operating system here is not good. Money is being given for every work. Two thousand rupees are being given to each ward for maintenance. But people are not getting the facility and the ward members are solely responsible for this. It is their responsibility to ensure that tap water reaches people’s homes.

One of the ambitious plans of the Chief Minister is tap water
The objective of this scheme is to provide clean water through pipeline to all urban and rural areas of Bihar. Under this scheme, drinking water is supplied for two hours each in the morning, afternoon and evening. The Nitish government officially launched this scheme in September 2016.

Under this scheme, drinking water has been made available from 1.52 crore tap connections so far. This is one of the ambitious plans of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. But for some time now, questions have been continuously arising on this.

Bihar’s Agriculture Minister Sudhakar Singh said – We are thieves of Sardar!
