Sources said the terrorists have demanded the release of their accomplices, including those involved in the brutal killing of foreigners in the Nanga Parbat region and other terror incidents in Diemer. Sources said that political leaders and officials of the district are in talks with the terrorists, but there is no response from the police so far. Later, in an ‘audio clip’ of the Gilgit-Baltistan minister that surfaced on social media, a man was heard saying that talks are on with the commander and that he has two main demands.

    “The first demand is the release of his accomplices from prison and the second demand is the implementation of Islamic law, which does not allow women to participate in sporting activities,” he said. It is noteworthy that on Friday, Pakistani lawmakers warned about the increasing terrorist activities of the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), while an MP recently warned about the increasing threat of terrorist attacks by the banned organization by the Ministry of Home Affairs.
