New Delhi: In the T20 World Cup being played in Australia, the first semi-final was played between Pakistan and New Zealand on Wednesday. In the semi-final, Pakistan defeated New Zealand by seven wickets to make it to the final. At the same time, today the second match of the semi-final between India and England is going to be played. If India wins today’s match, then the final match between India and Pakistan will be played on Sunday.
Former fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar has posted a video on his YouTube channel after Pakistan’s victory after making the T20 World Cup final (T20 World Cup 2022 Final). Sharing the video, Shoaib Akhtar said, “New Zealand lost the semi-finals in 92, lost in 99…now lost in 2022. They have made many mistakes but before that Pakistan congratulate you on the final. The community of Pakistan made the team here by praying. Because I didn’t think he would even qualify as he was playing. After losing to Zimbabwe, Netherlands would hit South Africa… Couldn’t have happened. Thank you Pakistanis. All this happened because of you.”
He further said, “Coming back is a Pakistani habit. I am convinced now. As a country… as a cricket team, we the Pakistani community will come back. Cricket is something that shows the character of the country.”
The former cricketer further said, “Losing the toss went well for Pakistan. Babar Azam and Rizwan’s ball was coming on the bat so they made a comeback. Poor captaincy, poor fielding from New Zealand. Haris is the incoming player. He took the responsibility. Because of Babar, especially because of the Pakistani bowling, he is in the final. Now I remember the 1992 world. Pakistan will once again go to MCG and will go because of Pakistan’s prayers. I am very happy.”
He finally said, “India we have reached… are you ready. MCG is here, the history of 92 will probably be repeated here. Maybe England will be defeated once again. But I want India in the final.”
