Taking a 2-0 lead in the series, England have a chance to win a series in Pakistan after 17 years. England took a crucial 79-run lead by bowling Pakistan out for 202 in the first innings. Meanwhile, Pakistan is also facing the problem of injured players. Their opening batsman Imam-ul-Haq was taken to the hospital for an MRI after straining his right hamstring.

Spinner Abrar Ahmed performed brilliantly and took 11 wickets for 234 runs in the match. He became the second Pakistani bowler after Mohammad Zahid to take 10 or more wickets on his Test debut. Zahid took 11 for 130 against New Zealand in Rawalpindi in 1996. Brook continues his great form.
