Regarding Chhath, the great festival of public faith, the officials of Supaul district administration inspected the identified ghats of the city and gave necessary instructions regarding the preparations for Chhath. SDM of Supaul Sadar Subdivision Manish Kumar, Executive Officer of Supaul Municipal Council Krishna Swarup and SDPO Kumar Inder Prakash of Sadar Subdivision took stock of 21 identified Chhath Ghats of the city council.

Guidelines given to Circle Officer

At the same time, in view of cleanliness and safety, reaching the ghats, gave many necessary instructions. Supaul Sadar SDM Manish Kumar informed about the deployment of NDRF teams at the Chhath Ghats of Gandhi Maidan and Shani Mandir. Giving information, the Executive Officer of the Municipal Council, Krishna Swarup said that due to excessive water ponds at all the identified ghats, he directed to put red cloth along with barricading wire and bamboo bats. So that Chhath Vratis are prevented from going into deep water. At the same time, arrangements have been made for cleanliness and lighting in all the areas around the city council. Supaul Sadar SDPO Kumar Inder Prakash said that police personnel should be deployed in civil dress to deal with anti-social elements.
