Block Development Officers across the district have opened a front in support of their demands. Before the front was opened, all the block development officers held a meeting and decided that if the government does not take a concrete decision on the demand of the Gramin Sewa Sangh by November 28, then they will go on mass leave from November 30. It was also said in the meeting that the instructions of the Bihar Rural Development Service Association will be strictly followed during the holiday. Along with this, they will not be absent from the designated place under any circumstances during the mass holiday.

Block Development Officer Kundan Kumar said that the Sangh has decided to go on a mass strike in protest against the lack of coordination between work and authority and against the indecent and violent incidents happening across the state with the Block Development Officer. He said that if the Block Development Officer goes for investigation, then the people’s representatives and their associates behave very indecent with him. He crosses all limits. Even they get involved in carrying out violent incidents. In such a situation, it is difficult for any officer and employee to work independently. People do jobs and that too with dignity and respect. But in such an odd situation, it is difficult for the block development officers across the state to work.

Citing the incident that took place in Vaishali in the past with the Block Development Officer of various blocks, he said that the people’s representatives are turning violent. The government will have to take concrete decisions on these problems immediately. If the government does not take a concrete decision by November 28, the union will go on mass leave.
