The man who threatened to bomb the hospital of Reliance Foundation in Mumbai and kill the members of the Ambani family has been arrested from Bihar.
Mumbai Police has detained an accused from Darbhanga in connection with the threat. He is being brought to Mumbai. A Reliance spokesperson had said that the threat was received by calling the call center of Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital twice on Wednesday afternoon and evening. The accused had received threats to blow up the hospital with a bomb and kill Mukesh, Nita, Akash and Anant Ambani on the landline phone number.
Police officials said that the suspected accused was caught on Wednesday midnight. The accused had also threatened to blow up Entelia, the Mumbai residence of country’s top industrialist Mukesh Ambani.

This threatening call came on the landline number of the hospital, after which there was an atmosphere of panic. Mumbai Police has started investigation by registering a case in this matter. Police officials said that the threatening phone call came from an unknown number at 12:57 am. The person making threats also made threats in the name of Ambani family. According to officials, a case was registered at DB Marg police station and further investigation is on.
In August this year, a jeweler was arrested after calling a hospital and threatening to kill industrialist Mukesh Ambani and his family members. In February 2021, a sports utility vehicle (SUV) laden with explosives was found near Ambani’s South Mumbai residence ‘Antilia’. Later some people, including the then police officer Sachin Waje, were arrested in connection with the incident.
