Several major decisions were taken in the cabinet meeting chaired by CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Tuesday in the capital Bhopal. Several resolutions including Millets Mission, irrigation projects and OBC reservation for transgenders were passed in the meeting.

Madhya Pradesh Cabinet News: In order to encourage agricultural exports in Madhya Pradesh, the state government will amend the scheme of providing reimbursement of mandi fees. In this, instead of wheat produced in the state, grain purchased for the purpose of export in any mandi area in the state, grain purchased from payment letter till March 31 and thereafter in 60 days with documents, exemption on applications made for reimbursement of mandi fee. will be given.

Discussion on 30,000 transgenders

It was held at Mantralaya on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. A dozen proposals were considered in the meeting. In this, the inclusion of transgenders in backward classes in Madhya Pradesh was discussed. At present there are 30,000 transgenders in the state. They will get the benefit of reservation, at present 14% reservation is being given to OBCs, out of this, transgenders will get reservation. Please tell that transgender will be included in the list of backward classes at number 94. This decision has been taken on the basis of the order of the Supreme Court.

There will be an amendment in the provision of mandi fee for wheat export

To promote the export of wheat, a provision was made for mandi fee reimbursement. Now it is being amended. Last year, 21 lakh tonnes of wheat was exported from the state. Out of this only the claim of 5 lakh 523 thousand tonnes was accepted for compensation. Under the change being made, in place of wheat produced in the state, purchased for the purpose of export in any mandi area in the state, 31 March 2023 export out of the quantity purchased from payment letter and with records in 60 days from 31 March 2023 This includes applying for fee reimbursement.

Government will spend Rs 23 crore

State Millet Mission will be implemented to promote coarse grains in the state. Under the mission, till 2024-2025, farmers will be given 80% subsidy on improved certified seeds of Kodo-Kutki, Jowar and Ragi through cooperative and government institutions. To promote the activities of processing and marketing, training programs will be organized for the beneficiaries. Food festivals will also be organized in major cities and tourist places. ₹ 23 crore will be spent in 2 years on the activities to be conducted under the mission. Apart from this, the government will also allot permanent lease of 23 thousand 680 square feet of land to Saraswati Shiksha Samiti Moti Nagar Sagar for conducting educational activities.
