Over 1.5 lakh lamps were lit in Vaishali
Vaishali. A grand Deepotsav program has been organized late Sunday night on the occasion of Choti Diwali in Sonpur. On the occasion of Choti Diwali, more than 1 lakh 51 thousand earthen lamps have been lit simultaneously on the banks of river Ganga. The same crowd of thousands of people has been seen, then the whole atmosphere was filled with devotion due to the echo of the same Jayshree Ram slogan. People have gathered to see this beautiful picture.
One lakh 51 thousand diyas have been lit simultaneously in a distance of 1 kilometer on the banks of river Ganga. Rangoli was made of decorated lamps from Sonpur Pul Ghat to Baba Harihar Nath Temple Kalighat. Riding on a boat in the middle of the river were people disguised as Rama, Lakshmana and Sita.
A grand Deep Utsav program has been organized by the Baba Harihar Nath Mandir Committee and the local people. Gupteshwar Pandey, former DGP cum narrator of Bihar, attended the historic program as the chief guest, along with many saints Mahatma. There was an atmosphere of great happiness among the people shouting Jai Shri Ram, there was a long queue of people up to 1 kilometer away. Riding on the same boat, Gupteshwar Pandey was seen looking at the whole scene. A unique and historically beautiful picture is of Baba Harihar Nath city of Sonpur, where a program of Deep Utsav has been organized on the lines of Ayodhya.
